Pisa, Italy (Part 3)

Tempat terakhir di Itali. Tempat tido kat Camping Village Torre Pendente. Jom tengok sikit pemandangan di camping site ni.

Dari camping site ni nak ke Pisa tak jauh. Tapi menapak la jugak. Kecik je kawasan nya. Tapi awesome la.

Meh baca la pasal Pisa;
  • The construction of the leaning tower of Pisa began in august 1173, but was interrupted several times by wars, debt and while engineers worked on solutions to correct the lean. Pisa Tower was eventually completed in the mid-1300s.
  •
  • The purpose of Tower of Pisa was a touristic one from the beginning. The city of Pisa was at the beginning a simple Italian seaport. Its fame and power grew gradually over the years, as the people of Pisa were involved in various military conflicts and trade agreements. The Pisans attacked the city of Palermo on the island of Sicily in 1063. The attack was successful and the conquerors returned to Pisa with a great deal of treasure.
  •
  • To show the world just how important the city was, the people of Pisa decided to build a great cathedral complex, the Field of Miracles. The plan included a cathedral, a baptistery, a bell tower (Tower of Pisa) and a cemetery.

Itu saja la, percutian di Italy. Esok nak ke tempat lain pulak, Switzerland. Excited youuu.

Dari sini lepak2 jap then ke Castel Sant'Angelo. dekat je. Ya Rabbi, panas nye bahang siuttt. mesti sunburn lagi la. Jambatan tu nama nye Ponte Sant' Angelo.

Meh baca sikit pasal istana ni;
  • The Mausoleum of Hadrian, usually known as Castel Sant'Angelo (English: Castle of the Holy Angel), is a towering cylindrical building in Parco Adriano, Rome, Italy. It was initially commissioned by the Roman Emperor Hadrian as a mausoleum for himself and his family. The building was later used by the popes as a fortress and castle, and is now a museum.

Dari sini naik bas ke Roma Termini untuk lunch !!. Masing2 lapo.

Perut dah kenyang, jalan la lagi. Antara tempat2 yang dilawati di sini ialah, Collosseum. Atau nama singkatan nya Colleseo. Posing tak hingat, you..

Aku tak masuk dalam ni. Nak masuk boleh, kena bayar sikit.

Meh baca pasal bangunan yang termendous awesome nih.
  •  Located in the archaeological heart of the city of Rome, the Flavian Amphitheatre, or, more commonly, the Colosseum, stands for monumentality and receives daily a large number of visitors attracted by the enchantment of its history and its complex architecture.
  • Built in the first century CE at the behest of the emperors of the Flavian dynasty, the Colosseum, named after a colossal statue that stood nearby, until the end of the Ancient Age accommodated games of great popular appeal, such as hunts and gladiatorial fights.

Sebelah Colloseo ni, Arch of Constantine. Anak2 dara dan mak2 dara posing, memang tak hingat... haha.

Meh baca sket pasal gerbang ni;
  • The large arch with 3 archways is almost 26 meters (85 ft) wide and 21 meters (69 ft) high. The Arch of Constantine (Italian: Arco di Costantino) is a triumphal arch in Rome, situated between the Colosseum and the Palatine Hill. It was erected by the Roman Senate to commemorate Constantine I's victory over Maxentius at the Battle of Milvian Bridge on October 28, 312.
  • Dedicated in 315, it is the latest of the existing triumphal arches in Rome, and the only one to make extensive use of spolia, re-using several major reliefs from 2nd century imperial monuments, which give a striking and famous stylistic contrast to the sculpture newly-created for the arch.
  •

Altare della Patria. Tepi jalan je ni. Dari Colloseo terus je ke sini.

Meh baca sket pasal monumen ni;
  • The 'Altar of the Fatherland' (Altare della Patria) is the largest national monument in Italy and it was inaugurated by King Vittorio Emanuele III during the 50th anniversary of the unification of Italy at the Universal Exhibition on June 4th 1911. The monument was originally designed to commemorate King Vittorio Emanuele II of Savoy. He was the first king of Italy and was known as the 'Gentleman King' and the 'Father of the Nation'. The monument is dedicated to him and with him the whole Risorgimento (the movement which led to the unification of Italy). For this reason it is often known as the 'Vittoriano'.

Trevi fountain. Hari ni memang hari penat sedunia. Jalan kaki, ayoyo.. kaki den dah capek.

Ramai giler seh. Terpaksa menyelit- nyelit nak amik gambar.

Meh baca mengenai Fountain ni;
  • The Trevi fountain is one of the most famous fountains in the world. It represents the perfect combination of classicism and Baroque style and is situated on one side of the Palazzo Poli in the centre of Rome. The structure is made to look even more imposing due to the tiny square in which it was built and by the numerous narrow streets that you need to follow in order to reach it.
  •
  • The history of the fountain began many centuries ago, during the time of General Agrippa, son-in-law of the Emperor Augustus. He ordered the construction of an aquaduct through which running water could reach the Pantheon and its thermal baths. According to legend, the original name of the aquaduct, 'Aqua Virgo', was based on the story that the source of the water was found by Roman soldiers with the help of a young girl. As it was built on the intersection of three roads (Trivia), it eventually became known as the Trevi Fountain (Fontana di Trevi).

Roman Forum and Palatine Hill. Tak jauh dari Colloseum.

Sepanjang jalan ni, memang awesome. Panas2 pun panas la.

  • Piazza San Marco was constructed in the 9th century as a small square dotted with trees. The square was laid out in front of the original St. Mark's Basilica, at the time a small chapel which was part of the Doge's Palace.
  •
  • Located along the square are the 12th century Procuratie Vecchie, buildings that housed the apartments and offices of the procurators; the Procuratie Nuovo,which provided more offices and was built in the mid 17th century.
